KOMODO NATIONAL PARK

As a UNESCO world heritage site, Komodo National Park is one of the most sought-after cruising grounds in Indonesia. The surrounding waters contain rich marine biodiversity which makes it as a part of the Coral Triangle.

This National Park located within the Lesser Sunda Islands in the border region between the provinces of East Nusa Tenggara (Sumbawa) and West Nusa Tenggara (Flores) gives remarkable landscapes. The surrounding waters contain rich marine biodiversity which makes it as a part of the Coral Triangle. This Komodo National Park is also considered as one of the best dive sites in the world.

Beside the rich marine biodiversity, there are also hundred of unique species in this park, on of them is Komodo. The park that includes the three larger islands Komodo, Padar and Rinca, and 26 smaller ones is a home for the native Komodo Dragon, known as the largest lizard of the world with its body reach 3m or more in length and weigh over 80kg. Approximately a third of the park is taken up by the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Gili Mota, Nusa Kode and Padar, while the rest is marine territory consisting of coral reefs, sea grass beds, mangroves and semi-enclosed bays.

There are many flights directly from Singapore to Jakarta, and the best flight from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo are by using Batik Air or Garuda Indonesia.

  • Garuda Indonesia will offer direct flights from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo with flights GA 452 (ETD Jakarta 10:50 / ETA 14:20 Labuan Bajo)
  • Batik Air will offer direct flights from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo with flights ID-6522 (ETD 10:40 Jakarta / ETA 14:00 Labuan Bajo)
